Welcome to Weekend Wags Pet Care
Welcome to Weekend Wags Pet Care
Serving San Francisco and Marin County
Hello! My name is Julia and I want to pet your dog! I’m a registered nurse in Marin county with years of experience in local pet care. I’ve lived and worked all over the world as a teacher, a bartender, and even the quality control assistant in an ice cream factory! But most importantly, I’ve been pet sitting since high school. I have worked with pet care services like Rover and independently operated my own service in Marin from 2021-2024. I’ve taken care of everything from dogs to small rodents, to cows and emus, to cats who kindly asked that I not bother them all weekend.
I pride myself on a sense of responsibility and professionalism in the face of the coldest noses and fluffiest tails. Family and friends and strangers trust me over and over to stay in their houses and care for precious family members and I consider this the biggest compliment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What am I getting with Weekend Wags?
The most boring weekend for an adult, but the best time for furry friends. I’m a simple woman. I like exercise and reading and movies and playing with animals. My goal is to bond with your pet and make them feel loved and cared for. They might even forget you’re gone! On my weekend wags, I’m never away for more than 2-3 hours a day (almost always less). I’m with your pet doing what they enjoy (walks, runs, toys, naps…if that’s their thing).
Will you take my dog to a dog park?
No-sorry! I don’t do dog parks. My number one priority is to keep your pets safe. While the majority of dogs in dog parks are playful and well-behaved, there are too many safety aspects that I can’t control, even with the best-behaved clients. But if your dog wants to keep moving, there’s no such thing as a walk that is too long!
Extra charge for special needs? Like a pill pocket?
Nope! Pills are okay! Ear drops also! Injections, subcutaneous fluids, and other specialized treatments would fall under this category.
My pup is reactive. Is that a deal-breaker?
It is absolutely not. It just means we’ll spend some time on the consultation talking about your animal’s needs and deciding if it’s a good fit.
My cat is reactive.
I've got thick skin.
Is my dog too big and excited for you? Will you be able to control him on a leash?
How dare you. Never ask that again.
What about too small?
See above.
Can you grab my mail?
Yes of course! Grab your mail. Water the plants. Leave shiny trinkets out to gain the trust of local ravens. Any reasonable housesitting requests. But I cannot promise that the ravens won’t form a loyalty to me.
What forms of payment do you take?
Venmo/Zelle, cash, or personal checks are all good!
Will you take care of my snake?
Please no. I guess. Only for you. If it sleeps in a different room and I can lock the door and its food isn’t alive. But please don’t make me. Wait- how big is it? Nevermind. I’ll do it. Reluctantly. Butimgoingtocomplainthewholetime.gif
